Autumn -
Fate works in wonderous ways.
Moments click, break into you like new dawns.
Realizations unfold as the most obvious becoming–
One turn, a return and I could see a brand new way.
For the better of it all I looked ahead.
Left it all behind, no turning back..
I see autumn leaves falling like
All my decisions changing every fraction of reality.
I let the clouds hide away my worries
The rain they bring would cleanse me.
I intend to lift off with the wind
Let the leaves turn crimson!
Be fodder to what lies ahead
Old lessons, new challenges.
I am ready. Take me away!
My hindsight holds you in mind.
Don’t worry, you’ll always be a good memory.
But I needed to look away and move ahead.
My heart ached to watch us crumble.
I’d rather leave and still love you instead.
