We are Humans too
To all immigrants
“No! Please STOP!
STOP! STOP!”
You wake up from your dream!
You realize that reality hits once again,
and you know that,
that dream was no fantasy.
It happened.
Last night,
Same dream.
The night before, same.
Seeing your father being taken away,
By some police officer is a big deal!
Or, well..,
To those who knows how it feels.
I was a young girl.
Pre-teen?
Maybe?
When they took him.
It left a dent in my heart!
Seeing the tears stream down from his face.
Knowing he won’t be back.
Even though he said he will be, within three days!
Well it’s been almost 5 years.
STOP DEPORTATION!
It separates families!
This doesn’t only effect the Hispanic community.
But the Asians, African American, Native Americans too!
We need to stand and have our voice heard!
It’s not fair to see families being torn apart,
Because of a law.
Because they don’t have simple legal documents!
WE ARE NO ALIENS!
We ARE HUMANS!
We hurt, we bleed, we cry!
We fight for what’s right!
We have families and kids too!
We care and we love!
We are no animal!
No extraterrestrial!
We are humans like you!
Our skin color may be different!
Yeah I’m brown!
And yes I’m PROUD!
We may not see eye to eye.
But we all have a heart and mind.
Common sense!
Use it!
Don’t be ignorant!
We may not be able to speak your language;
But we can learn!
We will do anything to protect this country!
Even though we weren’t born here!
This is our HOME now!
And you can’t take that away from us!
So please!
If you care!
STOP deportation!
Stop destroying families, and separating kids from their parents!
Let us be!
Let us live!
If this truly is a free country, than mean what you say!
Don’t lie through your teeth.
We are humans.
Not aliens.
