Sinny's Poem

We all miss you Sinny you crazy cat! This is for you.

In the sun her coat would glisten, Russian blue,
Yellow-green eyes would sparkle too,
Eyes so full of mystery,
Like unrecorded history,
Many stories they withhold,
Yet stories never to be told,
They are the secrets that she kept,
The things that only she did know,
Discoveries made on adventures,
Treasures buried in the snow.

Her legs were short, but she moved quickly,
She was plump, yet still so nifty,
Although she looked so serious she was forever funny,
She liked to make us laugh because she was sweeter than honey.
She would purr whenever we gave her food,
You could tell when she was eating she was in a good mood.
Her favourite toy always seemed to be an empty box,
Her favourite place to sleep was probably a pile of socks,
She liked to run mad all over the place,
If she could have she would have a smile on her face.

At first she was wary of cute little Sadie,
For she had always been the only lady,
But out of the three, herself, Bod and Spook,
She was the first to say how do you do.
Sadie is happy the two of them met,
That they both made friends right before Sinny left.
We all miss you Sinny and we love you too,
We’ll never forget anything about you,
We’re sorry we can no longer be together,
But know that you’ll stay in our hearts forever.

Forever missed but never forgotten
