Ceilings of Hell

Through the frosted glass light dances
Lovers’ silhouettes cast
a shadow for the tortured souls below
To remind us of the light well never know
Two lovers embrace light on on their feet
They waltz in reverie toward gilded streets
Their love I’ll never know but ill feel the heat
It will forever burn inside of me
And I can see though the tears sting my eyes
The heaven I’ve been denied
From heartbreak I’ve already died
And will 1000 more times
In this painful afterlife
Compelled to look up
At what I’ll never have
through the ceilings in hell
Made out of glass
Wrapped in white and ever radiant
Passive   to the gradient
The steep horrific fall from grace
That defines the vicious evil place
A serenade begins
To clicking pearl cadence
A percussion that is soft faint
Yet drowns out the moans of our disgrace
