I am the monster that lies in wait for you to sleep

And while you slumber
I come alive and creep
In the middle of night avoiding the light
I risk every thing to be by your side
Once I’m there I hold my post like a statue
Desire is an all consuming beastly creature
Ravenous
With the worst of any predators features
While you long for peace it turns your heart into a feast
And uses your sanity to pick its teeth
I just want to taste your life and know what its like
To feel you move inside of me
A forbidden fire in my belly
I want to move in you as well
And have your company
To ease the burden of eternity
You’re so beautiful that it haunts me I’ll never catch you
I sleep in deaths mattress, Nosferatu
I’m so hideous and ungraceful
Though I awkwardly embrace you
You will break away from my grasp
To me its love, to you: attack
All I ever wanted was for you to love me back.
And who is the hero come to save you
Why should she be the one to claim you
I know she’s pretty and petite
She’ll never love you like me
Haven’t you heard how beauty changed the beast tamed the beast?
