They say to much

I say I didn’t
They think that I did
Or I would have
If I could have
But I probably did

They say if I didn’t
I must be a fool
But if I did
It’s breaking their rules
They accused me of doing something
They would not
But I hadn’t, they had
Have they forgot

They said I looked happy
And where had I been
That I looked like the cats whiskers
With traces of cream
They said they weren’t jealous
How could I think that?
They say they are my friends
Not my enemies
What can I say to that?
