Truth
No doubt if I asked you
You would say the truth never lies
But if I proved you wrong
Would you truly be surprised?
Could you speak?
In words of anger
In a frank and bitter tone
In an effort to convince yourself
That in truth, a lie is unknown
Could you call upon the average man?
As an example, of what you believe
Or would reality at last
Melt the shadow cast
