Broadway

What a miraculous feeling it is!
When that long coming epiphany hits you.
In the dead of night..
When your only company is your tears and a Mason jar of empty promises.
It jolts you awake...
Shakes you like a ragdoll in a Kansas tornado.
That part that you’ve been auditioning for?
The one you were given, but then...
The director second guessed your casting, not sure if you were really the right fit.
You know, the part that you’ve been breaking your bones for over and over and taping them up again in the hopes that it’ll transform you into something acceptable, or even agreeable?
Yeah, that one.
There were others that got that part too.
But only for a time..
Be damned creative differences.
But, the thing is...
That show wont ever open.
That stage will always be dark.
It will always be an audience and a cast of one.
Sweet child, let it stay that way and catch the first bus to Broadway.
