Whatever fate and chain of events have brought us here, drawn us to one another, I am eternally grateful to them. The road was not easy nor smooth. The journey dark and cold, even suffocating at times. So many nights I wanted to give up. I wanted to give in to that darkness, but there was a faint voice in the distance whispering to me. Telling me to hang on, that I will be there soon and it will all make sense. And here we are. In the light together. We are both tired, battle worn and exhausted, but we made it.
When I kiss your lips I can taste the next 60 years of my life. When I look into your eyes I see an entire universe more beautiful than the mind can comprehend. A story of a thousand lives lived. It is breathtaking. It is terrifyingly glorious. Your touch makes me forget all the pain, all the hurt wasted on the ones before. It heals me from the inside out.  Your smile reaches deep into my soul and shines a light so bright, that all the darkness I’ve been keeping there all this time is washed away for a split second and I feel the purest happiness anyone  has ever felt.
I see your scars. I see the marks left behind by others. The heartbreak, the disappointments, the wounds made by broken promises and poisonous lies. You are beautiful because of them, not in spite of them. They have made you who you are, the amazing person that you are now and I will encourage you to wear them proudly until the day comes that you no longer need them. I will run my fingers over them, I will feel your pain. Then I will kiss them every single day until they fade, until you no longer remember their cause and your reasons to smile outnumber the stars.
I will do whatever is within my power to cause you nothing but nauseating happiness. I will walk across the sun just to see a smile creep upon your lips. I would count the stars ten times over if it meant peace within your soul. I will cry with you, I will scream with you, I will mourn with you, I will laugh with you, I will be there always. I will hold your heart in my hands and care for it more than my own. I will dedicate every fiber of my being every second of every day to make sure that you never feel an ounce of pain by my hands. I will never give up on you. I will never walk away leaving you alone in this world. You are my human, you are my king and as your queen I will do my duty and protect you.
There will be disagreements, there will be fights and yes there will be pain. But we will overcome and persevere though understanding and patience. We will grow with one another, build our life, chase our dreams together and one day, conquer this world side by side. We are partners, a team and there will be nothing that can stop our force as long as we have one another. I will follow you to the ends of the earth and into the galaxy beyond to chase those dreams that live among the stars. I can't wait for the adventures to come.
I have not yet found you but I have hope that one day, when the time is perfect, that our paths will cross. I will see you and my soul will say, there you are I’ve been looking for you. Until that day comes, hold on my love. I am at the other end of this red string pulling you through the darkness towards my light. I am walking with you just on the other side of that wall reaching for your hand. I am whispering to you to hold on, I am coming. I remind myself every day of the love I have given to the wrong ones, and excitedly wait to feel the tremendous amount of love I will have for the right one, for you. I will be patiently waiting while we both fight the battles that we must fight until the smoke clears and we find one another. We will be bloody, we will be wounded and tired, but we will finally be home.
