Progress

The look of death suits you so keep pushing the needles in. Heavy with the black make-up, my dear. Your pale flesh carries it well. Enjoy it before the jaundice sets in or your dead eyes can’t stay focused long enough to apply the correct pressure.

Whichever comes first.

Enjoy the tingling because it doesn’t last forever. The numb does not refer to the physical, it refers to the spirit that dwells and will soon be long gone.

Right along with the morals and emotions.

Your love for your fellow man is sure to dissipate into the toxic air. Once fresh and thin, now thick with tones of wet ash from beer cans and acrid, stinging sweat molecules from the skin. At least the stench will bring tearssince nothing else will soon enough. Remember to tell others that feeling bring on the water works.

You won’t be fooling anyone but it’s the addicts nature to lie, after all.

While dwelling in your meaningless abyss of a life, remind yourself it wouldn’t have been much better had you traveled the other road.

It’s just a coping mechanism anyway, right?
