Bad Old Town

Back to that bad old town
That place that got me down
You said “never turn around “,
But since then, I’ve gone to ground

I had to sell my old gold teeth
I even bought a second hand wreath
I might need a law bound brief
Tried to turn over a new leaf

When you start to mutter and it comes out like butter
Then I try to utter words, none
She looked so alwful pretty, but didn’t like the city
And it was a pity, back in that bad old town

Had more fights than boxing crown
Lost more teeth, to do a dentist proud
Got more scars, than on a surgeons gown
Since I been back, to that bad old town

It’s only you, that kept me here
But if it wasn’t for you, I’d be in an electric chair
We were going to rob a bank, but I chickened out
And you were a useless girl, watching out
