The Amphibious Poet
Deep down in the ocean
Writing a poem on slate
As the fish swim in motion
Diving down for inspiration
But then a Shark gives him the eye
He just finishes his poem in time
Ascends to the top, so he doesn’t die
He takes his boat to a safer place
And then dives down again to write
Sees Whales and Dolphins in sight
But on his big toe, a crab takes a bite
