How good, How bad

a desire.

How Good, How Good!
To fly like a bird
In the middle of a cloud,
Spreading my wings
With the joy it brings,
A song I sing,
In the month of spring.

How Good, How Good!
To run like a deer
In the forest so sheer,
Drinking from the lake
In the morning as I wake,
Grazing on the grass
In those beautiful Alps.

How Good, How Good!
To swim like a fish
In the deep blue sea,
Dancing with my fin and
Go as far as I can see,
Sleeping in the weeds
With so little need.

How Bad, How Bad!
To walk like a man
On this unholy sand,
Working for the food
Fighting for the water,
Paying for the birth and
Paying for the death,
Dying to Live and Living To Die
Doubting that I’m living in a lie.
