Funeral Dream...

“ My Lord, Forgive my sins, I surrender...

My final prayer I whisper in death...

Take me away into your warm embrace...

As you take away my final breath...”

I hear the mourning
Outside where the church bell tolls
The priest guiding those who grieve
Into prayer with holy scrolls

My crypt custom designed in raven black
Wrapped and lined inside with crimson red satin
Covered with the finest bed of roses and blue Iris’s
Masses of love letters written

Lay me down gently now
Leave my feet bare and dress me in white laces
Shimmering in diamond dust, pure white as snow
And shower my crypt with kisses and lovely phrases

Rest my hands above my chest
Let my funeral song play
The song played once at my dream wedding
Now will be my farewell today

Pachelbel in Canon in D
Play it at dawn by the ocean sea

       Play it softly...
                               slowly...
                                           steady...

Let the symphony play it’s harmony

My spirit watching over them
My dress fluttering swiftly in soft breeze
Allow me Lord for the moment
To set my loved ones at ease

Allow my final tears to be sent by rain
To show them that I am near
I send my promises in a rainbow shower
To show that I am cared for here

Know now that my time has come
Please do not fret my dear...
For one day we will share the same sky once more
I await for your embrace, sincere...
