When a heart breaks is it audible?
Are the tears shed a waste of energy?
The sound f a broken heart is the sound of sobs,
cries in the night swallowed in darkness.
Broken hearts associate with broken hearts;
common ground, the only stable ground.
Relationships are bridges in a city of lies;
bridges that two people must balance on.
Each step forward and the tightrope shortens.
The reach the end and she is shoved over.
She falls followed by tears and her own broken heart.
He is left standing, arms folded and eyes black.
He’s blind to the story of pain he has initiated.
She bleeds openly as her heart implodes upon itself.
His concept of beauty is shallow, superficial, false.
He lives to make love to flawless imperfect women.
And yet she falls
Her heart broken
Her tears wasted.
Life goes on
Love is gone
Light is hollow...
