Beauty is not Skin Deep

When we let our scars define who we are the world around us hurts to live in. When we let our peers control our thoughts and minds the life we lead is painful. When our families have fallen apart and dissipated in the mist of the past then nobody seems to care.

However if we allow our scars to give us strength and heal our world, we can be happy. If we listen to our peers but never allow them the opportunity to lead us in a direction we choose not to go, the life we run is worthwhile. Lastly if our families have fallen apart– a father gone away, or a mother who does not care– whatever the case may be, we are given the chance to prove that we can be strong on the outside even if we cry nightly on the inside.

Beauty is not skin deep. Beauty has nothing to do with the way we look and everything to do with the contents of our hearts.
