You just want to be better
Better than how you’re made
Don’t be tricked by desire
You won’t get what you crave

You’re not the only one who wants something new
Trust me, I know your pain
But I know it is better to become true
Than to live on chasing what I can’t attain

Is it really worth it?
Is it worth the strife?
Believing your own lies
I guess I’ll have to tell the truth

You’re not, nor will you ever be, a perfect one
This is the brutal truth never to be undone

So if you happen to achieve your pointless goal
And rejoice with said “perfection”
You will only have deceived your own soul
Running away from the painful truth

One of life’s greatest deceiver’s
A mound of sand become a mirror

In time...
In time!
