Sunday night I held my life in the heart on my cheek
I flipped off the world and sped off to the city
I let the lights guide me to the corner of state street
I entered the building
The dim lit room felt so right
The rock n roll vibe gave me chills
I’ve never felt so at home
The bass dropped low
And I banged my head
I held the vocalist’s hand
And he sang into my eyes
But later that night he hugged me tight
He said don’t worry
Your eyes are why I sing
