Beastie Boy Rap
So I jumped up
after sleeping ten hours,
and the weatherman said
no more showers.
And I washed my face
and combed my hair,
and I took from my drawer
a shirt to wear.
Then I went to the kitchen
for some hot and black,
and I thanked the Lord
for my cozy little shack.
Then I stepped outside
to a beautiful day,
and I thought to myself
it’s gonna be okay.
then I got in my chevy
and I gave her a crank,
and I looked at the gage
and there was gas in the tank.
so I backed out the drive
and I drove down the street,
with the radio playing
a catchy little beat.
and I went down main
with the greatest of ease,
checking out the colors
on the maple trees.
then I drove up town
around the courthouse square,
just to try and see
what was going on there.
then I returned back home
to my cozy little shack,
to catch some TV
and to get a snack.
Now I’m sitting here watching
the western channel,
with my long johns on
that are red and flannel.
And I hope you enjoyed
reading my crap,
it was sorta inspired
by a beastie boy rap.
