Ike's Belly
It’s starting to show
how ike loves to eat,
and his favorite meal
is a big chunk of meat.
Any kind of meat
it does not matter,
served on the floor
or on a platter.
He can consume a wild mustang
in no time flat,
and a half dozen kittys
before they can scat.
He once ate an elephant
for a midnight snack,
never minding the warning
that he needs to cut back.
I do not doubt
that to the past he is linked,
and that his ancestors
are the reason the dinosaurs are extinct.
Sixty five million years ago
ike’s g-daddy ruled the planet,
his fossils were found
in smoky mountain granite.
He ate all the earth’s
prehistoric creatures,
it’s common core knowledge
being taught by our teachers.
Now back to the future
where ike is still chewing,
it’s time we figure out
what we need to be doing.
We must save ourselves
from that meat eating hound,
so in his next bowel movement
we will not be found.
Now seriously folks
these words are all bull,
but God bless the one
that keeps ike’s belly full.:)
