I met a homeless man today,
and he invited me in...

he caught me peering out his window...
with all these eyes staring back in...

“oh, what a chill”

facing me then...

with his held high chin,
and eyes that glisten,

with an unspoken grin...
“never mind, it’s warm inside”

Vague, but it makes one think. Nicely done and well written...

Am I right with my understanding of your poem? Pre-judgment can be deceived. Beyond the surface is where truth and beauty emerge. You can't judge a book by its cover.
