Renaissance Woman

On Monday she is a teacher.
On Tuesday she is the director of her school’s play.
On Wednesday, a mother.
On Thursday, a seamstress.
On Friday, a Writer.
On Saturday, a painter.
On Sunday she is herself.
It is her favorite day.
Her Sabbath.
She looks into the mirror and sees that farm girl from Iowa.
Who wants to be acknowledged, played with and loved.
So she creates time for her.
Makes space for her.
Honors her.
Becomes her.
All.
Over.
Again.

This is an archetypal poem about a real person
