History won’t begin when we eliminate status
hoping that now everyone will get their flowers gratis
Because step 1 in ending status is always tearing down the steeples
and step 2 turns out to be eliminating people
This simulacrum that we live in ain’t a copy but a fake
where status flows from consumer takes
instead of what you make
And reversing that is our last best shot at history’s real daybreak
