The dream has always been
To build a time machine
And go back in time
To change the present
 
But some things never change–
The past remains a time machine
Manufacturing the present
So that we might change the future
 
Yet now I’m hearing
All time is an illusion
And in God
Everything happens at once
Meaning there’s no such thing as change
And our part in evolution
Reveals us as co-conspirators
In the act of creation
 
Because the eternal now
Is forever new
