Wrestling Cameraman (A Poetic Viewpoint)

Inspired by my work with Vendetta Pro Wrestling

I study for countless hours when editing, being a thinker and creator, with a fast paced mind that never quits. Many motions and impacts pass by my eyes, even when I’m in the presence of muscles, masses, or the ones who fly high.

Surrounded by many eyes and faces, yelling out their emotions with a boo or a cheer, while the many figures in the squared circle show no faces of fear. The focus is never on me, but trained on the ones in front of my viewfinder.

Every moment captured; every facial reaction, all talents big and small giving in to the creation of their artistic nature. My talent lies with my camera, which is no different from Leonardo da Vinci’s brushes. I will bring the paint and the promoters will bring the canvas.

Different towns, different dates, and most the talents in my view seem to fit in with the all-time greats. I’m seen as an obstacle to many wide eyes, from the fan who has the front row seat, to the very figures that suffer outside the ring in defeat. I may be an object next to the action, but this is natural for the many people seen in my category. Our timing needs to be perfect, our coordination needs to be precise, Every frame counts because there is no time to think twice.

Our categories do not gain by monetary means; we just get respect for our creations that display on the internet and video screen. After the shows, our bodies share some soreness, but not like the many figures we captured in the moment’s notice. We pack up our Mona Lisa and say our goodbyes, knowing the next show will arrive when the time passes by.
