A Mother's Disrespect

I find it sick
When you disrespect
The very chick
Who deserves no neglect.
You call yourself grown
When you have a dirty mouth.
You moan and groan
And it starts to go south.
She’s all you got
And you act this way.
The only reason she puts up is because of her soft spot.
The least you could do is respect and obey.
When she’s gone, you cry your eyes out.
You curse yourself for all the times you cursed her.
But no, isn’t this what you wanted? Don’t pout.
You should have thought of this before you neglected your mother.
She carried you for nine months without complaint.
She fed you and kept you safe.
She loved you without restraint
And all you did was cause chafe.
So before you run off at the mouth,
Take the time to think,
If your child went south
Would your love keep you from reaching the brink?
