Can you imagine, part 1...

Can you imagine not being yourself?
Can you get lost in the words of a stranger?
Do you feel as if on the edge of madness?
Do you cry when steeped in sadness?

Will your parents die when you least expect it?
Have you felt the noose where you’d never expect it?
Why can your thoughts completely arrest your heart?
All of these questions are only a start.

Why do you stare at something you cannot perceive?
What is your problem?
What is your deal?
Will you learn how to solve 'em?
Or will you bend over and keel?

Why do you think you must see my face to feel my heart?
The box you’ve surrounded yourself in
Can you even hear the words I am saying?
Or were you caught up in 5 hours from now?
Is your dog OK?
Can they feed YOU?
Is your iron on? Your light on?
Are you even home inside that body?
Why are you sitting in your chair? and
Why must you answer the questions?

The answer my dear ones are irrelevant
Because points are proven at every step
And for this moment, you made a choice,
To stop...
For a few more moments...
So that you could listen to my mind speak to you.

And now you can see something you didn’t understand
Standing in front of you begging to be judged
Asking for you to stop on that edge
And acknowledge
That 5 minutes, an hour, a day
It will never matter
It can never shatter
Or hold you prisoner to fate
Because that moment shall never come,

Why must we fight what we cannot see?
Why will 5 minutes ago matter at all?
Because there is only one place where you can ever be -
Now

Feel the shift. Feel your skin. Breathe in the life.
Don’t listen to my words– hear my passion.
You can see my face, can you feel my soul?
You can, you know this to be true.

No title.
