I got a text from you and I felt some type of way
I remember when you were a good thing. I remember those days
You said “hey” and I remember when nicknames accompanied each greeting.
I remember great anticipation and excitement about our next meeting.
I said “I’ve been good” and I remember when you were the cause of many smiles.
I remember you used to be there. When I had a problem your number was dialed.
You said “how’s school” and I remember when you were my support system.
You were my reminder to stay focused when a essay needed to be written.
I said “you still looking cute” and I remember
When you took pics just for me.
I know thats’s somebody else’s privilege now. No more selfies for me.
You said “Ima come see you” and I remember when you meant it.
Now you stand me up and I feel silly and neglected.
You said “have a good day” and I remember
Expecting to hear from you at night.
Now I know I won’t hear from you until your 1st option is no longer acting right.
