Just keep swimming, just keep swimming
As the waves crash along the shore
Which seems so far away,
I ask myself;
Why do I swim?
Pushed from a ship
Before reaching port
The first of many destinations
I now swim after a vessel
I am no longer welcome on
I ask myself;
Why do I swim?
The freezing cold abyss below
An infinite void of darkness
Monsters lurking deep
within the shadows
I ask myself;
Why do I swim?
If I drift instead
One of two things will occur:
I find my way back to my island
I once called home
Or
I sink and let the monsters feast
I ask myself;
Why do I swim?
