Conversations with Poets

inspired by "a beautiful butterfly still holding on to her chrysalis"

i long to break
and
penetrate
the shell
that covers you
to reveal
the sweetness
that lies
within
to stretch
and
tear
to pieces
the illusion
of an unfulfilling
life
to play
your bodys
music
to remove
the final
barrier
the dam
that holds
the sweetness
back
to stand there
naked
and
exposed
our clothes
left in a pile
upon the floor
to gaze
at a beauty
stripped bare
waking
to rapture
and
the much needed
apocalypse...

I've been listening to a singer/songwriter that I'm totally diggin' lately..... After years of playing rock and punk, and gathering a fan base, he decided to openly announce that he is transgender and will live her life the woman she was always meant to be. I don't pretend to know what that feels like, but while reading this poem I was thinking about her.

Fantastic piece my friend.

Not everything needs be interpreted so literally :-D

But I suppose everyone sees different meaning, significant to them, in a poem
:-)

the snow is melting outside as i read this.
your words are much to be desired....
in the hospital, one gets cards to help recover
with chisel in hand, you work away
sculpting the others hearts desire
