Hig-ah-la-digly

Hig-ah-la-digly, round and wiggly,
Curles, dimples and apple pie,
Running ‘round the running rooms,
Connecting with all, that aren’t so shy.

Hig-ah-la-digly, round and wiggly,
Nana’s re-living some of the past;
Now she has time and oven magic
To make new memories last.

Hig-ah-la-digly, round and wiggly,
Such excitement in a crusty old house
Pawpaw is hiding in the pantry space;
The pie-monster snickers, quiet as a mouse.

Hig-ah-la-digly, not so wiggly,
Hot pie is placed on the plate
Into the cold, it will be alamode,
Smells so good it is hard to wait.

Hig-ah-la-digly, round and wiggly,
The pie-monster’s work has begun
He gobbles it down with a grizzly bear sound
And everyone laughs at the fun.
