The Blues-Title Poem

“Call It Stormy Monday”
Down on “Jericho Road”
But they say, "“I got a Secret”,
And it’s a “Comfort to the soul”.”
The “Big Boss Man” plays the “Black-eyed Blues”
When he’s all “Broke Down— & Lonesome”.
His “Blue Suede Shoes” was made to cruise
and you’d know what I mean,— if you owned some.

“Wang Dang Doodle”,
there is “Something in The Sky”
its “St. Judy’s Comet”
off in “The By and By”.
And the “Two-Fisted Mama” rules
With “Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes”.
“I’m So Ashamed”, “That’s What I Get”,
For having the “Walking Man Blues”.

Yes, “I Think It’s Going To Rain”
So you ought to “Cry Me a River”
“It’s 2 A.M.” at the “Blues Hotel”
And I’m “Coming Down” with “Fever”.
“Oh, Woe Is Me”, I got “The Letter”,
And I must say, “I shed a tear”.
“Every Time You Say Goodbye”,
It’s “One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer”.
