The Crow and The Dove

To the one that held my heart

Sometimes when I’m alone,
I think of you,
I get this feeling in my bones,
I think of what I could do,
To make you see,
To make you smile,
To show you the way,
It should be for a while,
But I’ve tried so many times,
And every time I’d fail,
I’m in a field of mines,
I’ve got no wind in my sail,
Where I’m going,
And where I’ve went,
My heart barely slowing,
I’ll tell you where time should be spent,
In my arms, with me forever,
Forever by my side,
But she is far more clever,
In her heart is where your love resides,
She stares at me when I walk by
She doesn’t even know me,
I’m not even allowed to try,
To tell you the way things should be,
My heart screams how I feel,
I want to give you all my love,
But it’s a dream that will never be real,
Because to you,
I’m the crow and she’s the dove.
