Everything & Nothing
It’s like turning to talk to someone regarding something you know nothing about
Like the city lights grew dimmer & the people walk with doubt
Like everything is falling apart yet somehow holding together
Something as strong as a brick & yet light as a feather
Something so dark that you can see it better than anything else
Something you keep with you everyday but has never really left your shelf
We make something out of nothing & then do nothing when we have something
When it’s nothing but chaos yet you can still pinpoint that one thing
When our brains end up making connections that don’t even exist
Making your thoughts become nothing but a repetitive list
If it doesn’t make sense, then why do we jam the pieces to fit?
Because we keep looking for answers when we just need to quit.
