J Ann Crowdet

Tonight, dreams await a slumbering deep as chilled frost stills upon my windowpane where a tipsy breeze whistles through it's cracks

I pull my blankets tight beneath my chin, watching darkness enshrouded by a moon’s still lamplight

My every thought stirs like windchimes of quiet emotion within my soul

As whilful shutters on breathing songs, my eyelids finally collapse

This is when all my dreams stand ready to create brush strokes of color

Such are stars twinkling to an orchestra within my mind’s vision of painted worlds or a nightmare’s sullen shades

This feels more like looking at an actual painting rather words on a page... Art!

Btw, I love the picture. And that's you just taking in the all in celestial space! You are indeed a dreamer extraordinaire!

"... tipsy breeze whistles through the cracks...create brush strokes of colors...in my mind...my dream canvas". Love it! And yes dreams sometimes are a single movement symphony at other times multiple movements of radiant / dark colors. Let yours be radiant.
Love. Fave. Always enjoy your presence here and "in my dream"
:-)).

Thank you! I enjoy your presence as well. Being a dreamer somehow makes all the good in life appear.

So glad to read your poetry again. The next time I hear the rattling of my whilful shutters, I'll have to sing a song with them so they won't keep me awake.
