I am searching for the light to lead me past the unknown
so that I may again feel the joy that once overflowed
I am a warrior fighting for my heart has become stone
from the disappointment of happiness that Is showed
as I reach for the comfort of something to remember
Only to realize the pain and anguish it delivers
But I need a light to save this heart maybe even a hot Ember
so that one day this heart will burn bright and be filled with the quivers
Of a feeling that has long since been shattered and broken
like the pieces of glass mirror left tattered and unspoken
I will embrace the cracks of a glued together self image
of myself knowing perfectness isn’t a right its a privilege
then I will accept what’s given so that my heart may heal
and soon again one day my happiness will be a big deal.
