Pillow Bed

Look into my eyes and you will see my soul
Like yesterday when the floods began flow
The water gates flew open and my eyes swelled to red
As I laid my gentle thoughts upon this pillow bed

The night grew to black and the thoughts soon were thinned
As the music danced in my head and out it slowly hymned
Silver strands beauty upon this pillow bed
Leaking thoughts of sorrow straight from my head

Seeping to the cloth and weeping in the sheet
How do I handle this painful awful defeat?
Sobbing wet surrounding, tears it was fed
As hungriness set upon this hungry pillow bed

Attached to the thought that one day it will change
The after math from sorrow how can it be arranged
Too scared to say goodbye afraid to let it shed
And leave your peaceful core upon the pillow bed

No more grief to the eyes, as the heart must finally lead
And the tears will soon be dry for this bed has done its deed
Strength to be taught and fear no longer dread
As we rest away peacefully on this pillow bed
