Against the Will

Standing under the ledge and over the edge,
Of the land and water,
Watching over the river,
Wandering under the sky!

The currents of water were strong,
The currents of wind were gusty,
I looked above, below and around!
Saw the mighty trees standing their ground facing the winds,
I could see the rocks lay over the river bed absolutely firm and rigid,
Both to the gust and the current they have refused to budge!

The tiny fish in the river caught my eyes and
A flying gaggle of passing gees came into sight,
Unlike the standing trees and the laying rocks,
They were swimming against the currents and
Flying head-on to the gust!

They are the tiny souls with mighty hearts,
Know somehow their destination is far apart,
Their journey is tough but not easy or short,
Unless they put up a fight, against and head-on,
With the wind and the water, they know they are lost,
Swept into the oblivion and thrown into the unknown,
Without a trace and to the disgrace of their mighty hearts!

But there is hope!!
Things that were swept away by the waves will someday wash ashore,
Things that were lifted away by the tornadoes will return after some time to the floor!
Whatever it may the time will tell,
So, keep moving till the dooms spell!!
