life-the case for and against
the baby born the wrong gender,
the girl who misbehaved,
the woman beyond all redemption,
the soul that couldn’t be saved.
the daughter-their choice of weapon,
a sister-who just wasn’t there,
a mother-who failed her children,
a wife-too selfish to care.
a cheat who couldn’t stay faithful,
a thief who stole from her own,
a junkie cut off in her own little world,
the sinner who’s always alone.
a girl crying out for her mother,
a sister who made sure they were spared,
the mother who left for the good of her kids,
a wife but he never cared.
to her mother-a dissapointment,
to her children-the source of the strife,
to herself-an embarassment, a shambolic wreck,
to the world-a waste of a life.
