The Trance

Decapitate all who relentlessly revile
to whom they confess what they somehow conceal
He who relates... will begin the debate
drift into the music, let it trance you; escape

Build a transparent and lucid attempt
to cover the ground of the broken and bent

Unleashing all furry, just step to the side
and the rhythm will meet with your dreams and collide
And with each chord and delicate strum
you drift towards the melody, leaving you numb

(2013)

This poem I wrote in correlation to the film "Almost Famous." The film is one of my very favorites for its profound freedom and carefree area it is based upon. A bit reckless, yes, but also insanely beautiful in its own way.
