The Purity

Let the rain caress you, strengthen your soul
Releasing the reigns; all hopes of control

Announce your passion and lust from within
As you embrace the goose bumps flooding your skin

Electrifying, convulsing, understanding your strive
Solely reminding you that you’re still alive

The lightning attacks illuminating your face
You close your eyes, drift, as if falling from grace

Digesting the burn of the vulgar Jim Beam
As rain’s aggression meets pavement, creating mystical steam

Tears of skepticism fill her bright eyes
For she is naked with truth, no need for disguise

A rain dance, revealing a cleanse of its own

Rejuvenation resides; she remains in her zone.
