I had direction of where my life was headed
You pulled me back when I was losing my way
Before you left me I knew who I was
Not long ago I was forever following you around,
Walking while holding the back of your skirt all day round,
I felt safe following your steps
I knew you led me to a place of love and warmth,
You understood me more than most,
Treated me better than I have ever been treated,
You taught me how to speak and write
Before you left me I knew what life was,
I knew what it meant to be loved without hesitation,
I’m not an easy person to love but you made me feel like a queen,
You played your role well, as a mom, dad, friend, guardian, mentor,
Before you left I was happy,
I had never expected you to leave so soon,
But you taught me to value my worth,
You showed me how to appreciate love, life,
I miss you so much and I hope u r proud of me
I wish you were here to witness how far I made it,
I love you ♥
