Whenever I see a discarded pencil laying on the ground

and that has happened more than a few times

I like to pick it up and sharpen it, if needed,

and then put it to paper because that’s its intended purpose.

There’s always going to be a few more words inside that pencil

so long as someone is willing to find a way of releasing them.
