Cloud Nine Blues

After many years of schooling
Exam results and proving
That you are the best one
Better than anyone
You find yourself queuing
In line at the job desk
What was all that learning for?
I did not want to ask for more
Was it something I did wrong?
Will I have to stay here long?
I’m now just a number
On a screen like all the rest
Now I need another quest

Look at my papers
I don’t write music
Don’t read philosophy
Stay away from criminals
Don’t put lies into my head
My iPhone it is staying
Contact with the outer world
Only way to stay sane
Can’t cross into another lane
Stay put, right here, without fear
No more reasons to see you here
Will never drink you’re champagne

Down to the train station
I’m not taking a vacation
Lots of people there to meet
Never know on which street
Vagrants sit, beg and bleat
They can’t make it
You can’t take it
Maybe you might learn to dance
Get into a new romance
Looking at the news stand
You see that they’re all banned
No good staying here
I need to climb another tier

Turn around catch a bus
But there are a lot of us
Trying to do the same thing
But have nothing left to bring
To the designers of the scandals
They are all wearing sandals
Who all look just the same
Red faces but not to blame
They only way now is to fail
Take the reward just look frail
The monies coming down the line
From taxpayers who are in decline
It’s all-insane here on this cloud nine

(2012)

Perhaps in the early Bob Dylan Style is this Lyric/Poem about something ordinary but with many life facets and expieriences along the way
