Blossoms Stirring

Blossoms stirring in the vernal air
And coming to life with pretentious flair
From branches stripped by winter’s teeth
And the cold sinking to the floor beneath,

Springtime comes as the warm days return,
As the days go by and the seasons churn,
The same as last year and the years before,
The law of the seasons is nature’s lore.
