Excelsior Spiritous
Lady Wisdom with
quiet eyes and velvet wings
floating in the quiet air,
her satchel full of the world,
the lakes,
the movement of the waters,
the wind behind the movement,
the history of life,
the first blueberry seed,
a look into the future
with her staff and rod
glistening in the sun,
arriving at the gates
of the curious one,
placing a spirit in his heart
to forever climb upwards
where wisdom guides him,
to look into the universe
at the birth of the stars
and back down to the
history of life in the world
and find out what
brought him into being,
the all around path
that wisdom travels upon
lined with tears and intelligence,
to the place where it
takes him to,
the all around knowledge,
the rising spirit
that moves upward
while holding onto
the knowledge of the past,
the Excelsior Spiritous.
