Forsythian Trumpets

Forsythian trumpets heralding in the new spring,
sounding revellie as the meadows sing
songs of revelry to the cold cold earth,
chase away the frost with joy and mirth.

The forsythia blooms to beautify the ground
and the robins are to be once again found
and Mother Nature becomes alive again
and in her traveling through forest and glen.
The earth rises up to the sounding trumpets
and the earth blends in with the colorful sunsets.
An ode to the inundation of her glorious flowers.

I wrote this for The Belt and Beyond (Earth Day and springtime)
