Pasture

Pasture, the home covered in succulent green grasses,
the table calling all sheep and horses and serpents,
the melting pot where they all commune together,
the softening of their barbarian nature,
equalizer of the variances in their eyes and nostrils,
the Eden before the advent of hostility,
the enemy seen up close at the same table,
the breaking of the laws of the jungle,
the fraternal organization of love incorporated,
love not aspired but love through familiarization,
the same heart beating inside another being,
the outside looking in and following the course of love,
the bonding of the enemies of the jungle,
the peace that creeps into their hearts,
the love that becomes a home to all,
the pasture that brought them together,
all attributed to the course of nature,
the civility that is in us all,
though hidden, but still there.
