It emerges from the most unexpected
Like lava shooting thru’ a rose’s lips
Its temperament is molded by gentle hands
But gentle is too quiet and too confining
Passion has no room to move about
Like a wild animal looking for open spaces
It cries out thru’ the bars of its cage
Life’s too calm and passion needs its nourishment
For the beast in me let passion ride
Let profanity be the language of the spirit
Let language be the tamer of violent ways
For violence unguarded is a flame that
Burns to its own destruction
Since passion needs its nourishment
Let it be done in a peaceful manner
Let profanity be the enactment of violence
While war is the manifestation of its rage
Violence lives in everyone
Let it erupt in a peaceful way
Words are only harmless
What’s so bad about profanity?
