Rhyme Time

Shivering words and arctic cold
Tedious stories ever growing old

Nights of romance passing by
Nigh without words or a starlit sky

Rainbows linger without being seen
As tempests drift to another dream

The seasons run naked around the sun
‘Twas no color as springtime begun

Beauty runs away to another time
When sonnets lose their fluid rhyme

Fires die out as the cold wind blows
Spreading apathy to two frigid souls

The moon has no stories to tell inside
Of myths and fables spanning oceans wide

Of nautical beasts that rise from the depth
As the Gods of Verse came down and wept

No poetry to melt away the rhetoric
No time to rhyme to think too quick
